Fuel lines
My boyfriend's 1994 Ranger 2.3 studders really bad once throttle is engaged. We've changed out the fuel pump 3 different times, and it still hasn't helped. Also, we've changed the fuel filter-hasn't helped. Now he has the fuel line that goes from the engine to the fuel filter, and he doesn't know how to disconnect the quick connector. He already de-pressurized it, but says if he takes the hose off, he won't be able to get it back on. HELP PLEASE.
It seems that it runs alot smoother the higher the RPM, but doesn't quit completely. During the mornings whenever first cranked and ran, it runs very smoothly, but studders as soon as it heats up to temp. I'm pretty witty when it comes to automotive repair, but Fords are not my forte. I know that you do not have to have the tool for the connectors, but I don't recall what I was taught in my ASE certification classes since it's been a few years. How-to help is needed ASAP.

Just because it looks ok doesn't mean it is ok. If it is doing this under load I would suspect an ignition related problem.
