how to remove dash cover to install switches? -- 99 F350 Lariat
I’m getting ready to add a few manual switches to my new 99 F350 truck. If you did something similar to the factory dash cover as shown in the picture below, please let me know how to either remove that little square thing so I can install the switches on it or, if it’s not separable from the rest of the cover, how to remove the entire cover without breaking any plastic parts? I’m mainly thinking about a TC lock-up, a Exhaust brake, maybe a GPR manual switch. I want to place those switches in the right spot and leave room (if any) for future expansion. What do you all think? Thx. Erwin

My switches are in the same spot your talking about..
Have a switch for the idm fooler switch, and 2 for the tc lockup and exhaust butterfly.
Mine are actually mounted to my 4x4 selector switch panel.
You can get switches to your liking... and cut holes with a dremmel or something...
I just have simple toggle switches so they mounted in drilled holes.
Xtof

As to the switch plate... It came from a boat shop in Astoria Oregon... Its worked fine over the years however there is no way to label the switch which is a pain.
The ones below are for my strobes and mirror heat. They were there before I installed that switch plate so I am stuck with them down there, or have holes.
