With the rollers, they are less likely to have excessive wear/damage on startup, but that's about it. Roller do have an advantage in they can typically turn higher rpm with less valvetrain mods, you can also run a higher duration as the roller is more relaxed/take a higher duration without affecting idle quality/vacume levels at the low end as much- basically more forgiving (with hydraulic liters)
