I would be very interested to see the finshed project. whether it was done at a shop or you and your buddy. I was thinking of doing the same thing but keeping the lug nut covers chrome.
You can google Powder coating los angeles and get a whole bunch of stuff. I saw this one that they stated they have done rims before, http://www.sundialpowdercoating.com/ . I do not know how good they are but you never know. You also might want to call some harley davidson stores and ask them who do they use when they have customers who want to really customize their bike. HD owners are very picky so the dealer is not going to use a messed up place. Glendale Harley does alot of custom stuff. You might want to try there first and then call some more to see if maybe they use the same place.

I just got an email from Eastwood indicating the powder coating would hold up but that I should apply a clear coat to the powder coating to protect the finish.
What I have read online is that powder coating holds up against salt water until the powder coat is compromised. Go figure.
Maybe that's why Eastwood suggested the clear coat.

I started cleaning the wheel for the spare tire and after about an hour with a wire brush and sand paper, I think I've decided it might be worth it to find a place to do the work if it can be done for about $100. I love the satisfaction of doing my own work, but this project got old very fast.

Any updates or pictures of a done project.
