Coming Back Home

I switched back to hauling dirt locally when I was offered a six month old 389 and a set of 1997 Beall belly dumps. I've spent a couple months dressing up the truck, which was plain white with no chrome or lights when I got it. I hope to take it down to a truck show next month, I've got a bit more preparing to do though. 500 ISX, eighteen speed, 3.36s.

I enjoyed a year of driving all over the country with a flatbed, stepdeck, and stretch trailer (plenty of overhieght, overlength, and overwidth loads), but I think this dirt hauling is what I really enjoy. Easy to load and unload and I LOVE pulling doubles and feeling 129,000 pounds behind me. Here's the truck I drove over-the-road. '06 with 550 Cat and eighteen speed. It was fun, got me in a couple magazines even!

Thank you very much folks! Still enjoying my truck, "Elvira", haha. Took her to the Salt Lake truck show last month and decided to do a photoshoot with my girlfriend while the truck was clean.

Hey Zakk, things are going pretty good. How 'bout you? Yes, I still have both, I don't think I could ever sell the pick-up and I'm out more money than I could ever get back from the Reo, so I'm stuck with them both, haha. I just replaced a bunch of parts on the Ford to get it reliable again, it was neglected when I was gone over-the-road all the time. The Reo is getting mechanical work done to it now, it has fresh paint to match my pick-up. I need to get it polished, pinstriped, and upholstered still. I reckon I'll be getting married this spring, so I'm trying to wrap up my projects quick! Haha. Meanwhile, my main focus (other than my little bride) is still Elvira, my work truck. It's just so much easier to work on than anything else and I spend more time with it.

Sorry this is small, I don't know what's up with Webshots.
