My 50 Pontiac tail light install in 57-60 F100
Hey everyone this is what I came up with to install 50 Pontiac tail lights in my now 57 F100 ( see pics).
I used the OE tail light lense mount and cut some slots for the new tail light. I will fine tune this setup with some different springs and screws to pull it in tighter and I will cut the back off the OE assembly to allow the Pontiac tail lights wiring to go through let me know what you think I just didn't want to drill all the way through the box or have any hardware showing inside the bed.
I was going to do this in the bed ( see holes and I still might) but thought I would try this way first
Thanks
Jeff

Jeff,
plz tell me are the pics with the original taillight body underneath and is this the final position of the taillight ? Did you use the rubber gaskets ?
Seems I can look a bit "behind" the chrome ring. I´m in the process of fitting my 50 pontiacs and I want them a bit deeper down the opening. The bulb housing of the pontiacs seems to clear the stake pocket, guess I´ll have to cut the edge of the rubber gaskets ....
Thanks, Tom

Thanks Jeff ....
Would you mind when I show you and everyone interested my solution ?
I removed the whole OE taillight and did some cutting on the taillight mount, went the same way with long holes and springs over attaching bolts.
The new 50´s taillight fits without touching the stake pocket and sits deep inside the opening. I used the included rubber gaskets but cut the edge a bit for a better fit.
The first pic shows the taillight mount after cutting and some touch-up, second shows taillight in place.
Thanks, Tom
