1956 F700 value
Hi everyone,
I bought an F700 a few years back with the intention of restoring it as a fun project. I cleaned my F700 up a bit, but I never got around to fully restoring it. I haven't driven the F700 in a while, but I know I can make it run regularly with a little bit of work. Right now, it is just collecting dust, so I figured I would sell it to someone who can do the restoration and really enjoy the truck. Could anyone give me some sort of estimate on what it might be worth?
1. It has a solid paint job with some small rust spots here and there.
2. It runs
3. I have no idea about the mileage because the odometer doesn't work...heh
4. It just has a large flat bed in the back (not dump truck style or anything fancy)
It would be awesome if someone could help me out! Thanks in advance!

From the information you have given us, it would be worth between $100 and $5000.
I'm not being sarcastic, but determining the value requires a LOT more information that you have given and Pictures are always required.
Aside from the pictures,
What engine, transmission and rear end
What mileage does it show on the broken speedometer
what are the size age and condition of the tires
what is the condition of the wheels (are they budd of dayton)
What is the condition of the frame
What is the wheelbase
condition of glass
condition of interior
do the rest of the instruments work
do the lights and other electrical equip work ok
Is the flatbed original (if not is it the correct size)
WHERE is the truck located
DO YOU HAVE A VALID TITLE IN YOUR NAME
Do the #'s on the frame and tags match the title
Please post at least 10 close up pictures of the truck
There are not a lot of folks willing to tackle the larger trucks, so the market is much smaller. As I'm sure you discovered, replacement parts for these truck are very hard to come by.

Engine: ECR 272 (I believe it is the original motor)
Transmission: 4 speed (don't know much more. It could still be the original)
Mileage: It kind of looks like it's around 150,000, but it's stuck between numbers
Tires: I'm clueless to be honest. (Hopefully the pictures will help)
Condition of glass: The glass is in pretty good condition. Both driver's side and passenger's side windows work and the windshield/rear window have no cracks. There is one accessory window with a crack in it on the passenger side though.
Condition of interior: As you can see from the pictures, it is nothing special, but it isn't too terrible.
Dashboard instruments: All work except speedometer
Lights:All work including one small interior light
Flatbed: I do not believe it is the original, but the size seems very close.
Title: I have the title in my name.
The numbers on the frame and tags match the title.
The truck is located in my front yard.
Pictures are below!
Thank you so much for your help!

OK, password does not work. It's really easier and better to just imbed the photos here. Each picture on photobucket has a drop down menu, scroll down and click on the 'img code' you can then paste that code in your response here.
When I asked about location, I wasn't asking for your address, but the value of the truck in 'my front yard' varies if your front yard is in San Diego or New York city.

Sweet truck!
I'm not exactly sure what size they started to use the largest front bumper on, but it looks like you could use an F600 front bumper on that. I only bring it up as it wraps around the front a little bit and doesn't stick out the same. I think the huge bumper was used for F800+s with the super huge fenders. I only bring it up as I know a lot of the Big Job guys would kill for one of those bumpers, especially in good condition. The medium sized ones are a lot easier to find. (I have one on my F600 in my signature)
That's a very sweet truck.
As far as what it's worth it's always hard to truly say. It's worth whatever someone will pay for it, and with these trucks your area of the country effects a great deal. I've seen trucks like that go for $500 around here, but we have a lot of them and this is big truck country. I've seen the same condition and year of truck go for $5000 down in Texas.
I would expect to see at least $1500 for it. And that's a good deal to a buyer. It might be worth your effort to sell that front bumper and get the medium one for it. No idea what you could get for that bumper but like I said a lot of the Big Job guys would kill for one as they can be a rare part to find in good condition. But I'm no expert on them, I'm sure someone will chime in shortly.
Something to consider; you can always sell the truck, you can't ever un-sell it. Most of us have our trucks sitting and not driving for some time. I've personally spent a couple years waiting to get all the parts I need for my build. Several members keep their truck in scattered parts in the garage. Sitting for a couple years is common, actually probably the norm. Most of us don't have the time or money to do everything that needs to be done when we first buy the truck.

Hi Gents, new to this fourm and have a few questions. I;m looking for a 56 F100 locally and am having trouble finding one as they are quite rare here. Whats the difference between the f100 & f700 in regards to the chassis & cab/body, are they noticably different or the same.
