Can someone steer me to an existing thread on replacing rear brakes? I've done a ton of half ton brakes but never any 3/4 ton brakes and am wondering what I am getting myself into... I pulled wheels and started pulling hubs... Axle is loose but before I go any further what the heck am I getting myself into....?

Thanks. Was looking for rear brake help though....

 

1. Pull axle 2. remove bearing nuts and lock keepers 3. remove drum and take pictures of how everything goes 4. replace everything 5. put it back together 6. it's a PIA. I just did mine.

 

I took the passenger side apart but stopped short of removing shoes etc.. Will see what this will cost to have a shop do it. If it's not prohobitively expensive they'll get this job....
