2003 Ford Excursion – 7.3L Diesel – 4x4 – Eddie Bauer - $13,500 obo

I am looking to part with this beautiful 2003 Ford Excursion with the legendary 7.3L V8 Power Stroke Turbo Diesel. (2003 was the last year of this engine, which was followed by the problematic 6.0L Power Stroke). I purchased this truck in October of 2009 with 142,127 miles on the clock. I am selling this truck so that I can go back to a Pickup (it turns out that a Pickup is more suited to our lifestyle than an SUV).

Here is a little bit of info about the truck:

2003 Ford Excursion
7.3L Power Stroke – V8 Turbo Diesel
Automatic Transmission
168,xxx Miles
Eddie Bauer Package
Oxford White Paint w/Tan Trim
44 Gal Fuel Tank
Michelin LTX M/S Tires (LT265/75R16 - Load Range E) on Aluminum Wheels
Electronic Shift-on-the-fly 4 wheel drive
Parking sensors in rear bumper
Tan leather interior:
Captain's chairs in front with console
Both front seats are full power & heated
Console between seats has power port in rear & 4 cup holders on top
2nd row Captains Chairs
3rd row Bench Seat
Seats 7
3 keys & 2 remote key fobs
Keyless entry pad on driver's door
Power windows and locks
Power Adjustable Pedals
Front & rear climate controls
Electronic temperature controls in dash
Automatic headlamps and factory foglights
Auto-dimming rear view mirror
Steering wheel has cruise control
Lighted vanity mirrors for driver & front passenger
Rear window defrost & wiper
Power heated & telescoping towing mirrors (main portion power adjusts, small mirror and telescoping are manual only
Lighted running boards
Roof rails can accommodate aftermarket rack systems (2 factory rails removed because they scratch through the paint, but they are included)
Rear side windows are powered (to vent)
Overhead console with compass, MPG, or "miles to empty" setting, along with sunglass cubbies & rear side window controls

MPG: Avg. 15.4 MPG with a High of 18.8 MPG since 11/16/2010

I purchased this truck sight unseen in Kansas on October 17, 2009 with 142,127 Miles on the clock. I was told the truck has spent most of its life below the salt belt until I purchased it and brought it back to Minnesota. I was also told that the Transmission was rebuilt at around 140,000 Miles. The body is rust free (as far as I can tell), but the frame shows slight surface rust (just like all of them) – just look at the photos of the bottom seam on the doors. I have had the oil analyzed twice: The first one on 1/1/2010 @ 144,700 mi, and the second on 1/23/2011 @ 154,747 mi. Both came back “Normal”.

I have put over $5,000 into the truck in maintenance/repairs and upgrades.

When I purchased this truck, I had planned on keeping it indefinitely, which is why I have dumped so much money into it (I believe in doing Preventative Maintenance on my schedule before the truck says that it is needed). The wife and I have been leaning toward 5th wheel campers over bumper pull Travel Trailers which is what has prompted the desire to sell this truck.

Some of the things added or replaced include:
-Adrenaline HPOP
-New HPOP Lines + Fittings
-DP Tuner F5 (Theft, Stock, 80hp Economy, Drive Thru, 120 hp Race, and 60 hp Tow)
-Moog Ball Joints
-Timken Wheel Bearings (Front - Both)
-Rancho RS9000XL Shocks
-Front Leaf Springs (Ford# 2C3Z-5310-HA)
-Roadmaster Active Suspension Rear Helper Springs
-AMSOIL Fluid Change(Front and Rear Diffs, Transfer Case, Power Steering Fluid, and Grease)
-Silverline 4” Turbo Back Stainless Steel Exhaust
-Rear Driveshaft Rebuilt (U-Joints, High Speed Balanced, Checked for Wear and Run-out, and Greased)
-Front Driveshaft and 4WD Actuator (Dealer replaced before I purchased the truck)
-Power Steering Pump (Ford Re-Man)
-Bled the Brakes
-Rear Axle Rebuild (Yukon Gear Rebuild Kit = all new bearings and seals)
-Replaced Light Bulbs with White LED Replacements (Interior, Running Boards, and License Plate)

Issues with truck:
-Body Damage (Passenger Side Rear Corner – See Below)
-Up Pipes show signs of leaking
-Very Slight Oil Leak (Coming from – Oil Drain Plug Gasket, and EBPV is leaking – About a 4” damp spot in 1 Month)
-Very Slight Transmission Fluid Leak (Dipstick Tube is loose – Tube wasn’t re-attached when trans was rebuilt – seal where the tube enters the trans needs to be replaced – About 2” damp spot in 1 Month)
-CD Player (In-Dash Multi Disc) says “CD Error” (Always has) when trying to load a disc.

Those are the only issues that have surfaced and have not been fixed (yet).

The paint is in overall good condition but does have minor blemishes (rock chips, some small scratches, and a few dents/dings).

Body Damage Description:
After returning on a red-eye flight from a 2 week business trip, I backed into an unseen light pole on the Rear Passenger side when backing out of a parking spot. The rear doors work just fine, as well as the back-up sensors (other than not being aimed properly, so they will give false beeps, but do still work when getting close to an object...Just not a light pole...), and the tail lights. I was able to source a patch panel from a fellow FTE member who was parting out their Excursion that can be welded in place. The Passenger Side Barn Door was also slightly damaged (Fiberglass Cracked on lower right corner), but isn’t bad enough to warrant replacement (in my opinion). The rear bumper is also bent (which is why the back-up sensors aren't aimed properly).

Sorry but:
NO CHECKS
NO CREDIT CARDS
NO SHIPPING (if you fly in, I'll pick you up at the airport, that's no problem at all)

Please note that even though I would confidently jump in this truck and drive it anywhere, it is sold in "As-Is" condition with no warranty whatsoever.

Asking $13,500 obo

If you have questions, want clarification, other photos, or want to come look at the truck, PLEASE SEND PM.
