fuel pump problem
I just finished getting my 65 f250 back together and found I'm not getting any fuel delivered to the carb, I replaced original tank with a Bronco II tank mounted under the bed . has anyone had problems with the original pump pulling from a relocated tank?
I've put my Mighty-Vac on fuel line at the pump and it pulls fuel from tank OK ,but when I put it on line at the carb I don't get fuel.I replaced the pump with a new one but still no fuel. Is there something I'm missing? do I need to prime the pump somehow?
any info is greatly appreiciated.
thanks , Joe

Kirk,
I replaced the fuel pump with a new one from A-Zone along with new filter, still nothing, when I put my vacuum pump on the line to tank I get fuel, was wondering if the original pump had enough suction to pull fuel from the tank located at the rear of my frame. the original pump work fine before I torn the truck apart to restore - about 3 years ago but the tank was located behind the seat then. It's got the 352 motor in it.
was wondering if anyone else that move their tank to the rear had similar problem.
thanks

Joe, you need to isolate the tank from the pump to determine if the pump is working properly. Some here have had problems with aftermarket pumps. The tank relocation isn't something that I can speak to. Hopefully, someone with the experience you are looking for will chime in. Good luck.
