Private Messaging
The Private Messaging system has been disabled. This functionality has been redundant (it can all be handled via email), is counter to the whole point of forums (one to many communication) and causes unnecessary server load. If you need to contact a user the email contact link in their profile can be used, assuming they want to be contacted.
Your email address is still protected by our system since users email you through a form (naturally, if you reply to their emails they'll have your reply address).

This is Dennis {Mil1ion}
This Announcement was made last night at 7:15 PM MDT.
This is another reason why we stress to users to read the
"Site Announcements" everytime you visit FTE.
In regards to getting ahold of the user > go to the member section find the user and see if they allow e-mails.

unnecessary server load.......ok. why not kill the chatroom insted? nobody seems to use it much but clearly everybody uses the PM feature. also, we (members and guests) at FTE use the PM system here to directly contact eachother so that we dont need to sort through TONS of SPAM to see what a fellow user has to say to us, webmaster and moderators included. not to mention, when going through our email..........how do we know who is an FTE user or not? just a thought.
i dont get it, why eliminate something that people actually use and is almost vital? if your trying to attract paying members......this isnt the way.
i understand it costs money to run a site like this but(imo) your not helping your bottom line by killing another service.

I sent you email through the FTE remailer, pretty obvious when it comes from FTE.
Any other complaints about having it shut down is about like beating a dead horse
