Custom 2012 King Ranch F-250

Thought about waiting to post pictures of my truck when it was complete... But here's a couple of the progress so far! Future projects include: major interior modifications to resemble 2013 Super Chief, custom headlights, etc, etc, etc.... Can't give it all away!

Hate that I first noticed the least important of all the mods, but where did you get the front emblem? I have been trying to find blacked out Ford ones for ever.

(I know, you spend $60K on a truck, $10k on mods, and I notice the $20 emblem LOL)

Thanks guys! Really appreciate the feedback

If only the truck had cost 60k, the mods 10k, and the emblems 20 bucks The emblems were custom made of billet aluminum and I paid $300. Yikes, I know! But, I think they were well worth the money because the craftsmanship is second to none! They are definitely built to last the life of the truck. You might be able to find overlays that would black it out, save a lot of money, and still look really good. I've seen lots of guys talk about that in the forums...

Great looking truck! Are those factory King Ranch seats? They look black and I didn't know that color was an option for the King Ranch leather.

Thanks,

Mike

its not... i guess he dyed em black...

nothing else on it is KR (can't get a red KR, or black seats, KR bumpers are painted) so maybe he just got the seats and dyed em.... i can't tell if they are perforated seats. I'm thinking Lariat with KR seats, but cool either way.

Really appreciate the feedback guys! Yes, the seats are black. The interior was done by Hix Design. Definitely worth checking out their stuff! Kyle does incredible work and is a super guy. They will be featured on Spike soon. Hix Design will also be doing their/my own rendition of the 2013 Super Chief interior. Pics to come in July...

This truck started out as a Lariat. I was torn between the King Ranch and the Lariat, because I wanted the Vermillion Red but I really liked the feel of the King Ranch. I thought about buying a King Ranch and having it painted red, but I didn't think the brown King Ranch leather would look as good as the Lariat charcoal leather would with the red exterior. Soo, I bought the Lariat and converted it to a King Ranch to give it the same look and feel with the right color combinations.

You're right Trey, definitely a cheaper way to lift a truck. It would not have been my first choice looking back, but I didn't know enough about suspension components at the time. I haven't had any problems though and it suits my needs for now. I would have gone with something that could have handled anything... And I may at some point.

My lift is a Rough Country 4-link, 6" lift with dual steering stabilizer bars. It's an economical lift that was installed by the dealer when I bought the truck. Definitely not the best lift by any means, but it does ride great. Personally, I wasn't able to notice any difference between my 6" lift on 37s versus a stock truck when I was test driving them. The floating traction bars by Fabtech didn't change my ride at all either, but it did take 100% of the axle wrap out of the picture. I've only driven it hard one time since they were installed and I started fishtailing
