Headgasket Problem???

So my 6.4 is kind of a train wreck. She’s got 268k and runs well but has stupid high deltas and a “disappearing” coolant problem.

Finally got a monitor to watch my deltas and such and while driving around at 70 mph on slightly hilly roads it hit a delta of 30° in 20 minutes. It’s 80° outside.

Now I suppose my question here is, is this more than an oil cooler problem? While looking around under the truck I did spy a wet spot behind the Horizontal egr cooler on the block and now questioning if it’s headgaskets which would explain the disappearing coolant. How would I be able to tell if it is a blown HG?

Maybe helpful info: it’s a 2010 F350 automatic. I just put in a mini Maxx and disabled all emissions Garbo, will be blocking off egr and installing a straight pipe in the near future

Wet exhaust? Steam or white smoke under accel? Degas bottle have a film of oil? Oil quality not increasing in volume or milky?

How much coolant are you running thru in how many miles?

Have you changed both fuel cooler and radiator caps to the upgraded version?

Mine was losing coolant, no drips/leaks/spots and I changed caps and it went away.

No steam, no wet exhaust and yes to the oil increasing in volume but it smells like diesel so just the dpf system making oil. Well I just took the truck out to help get the leak going, got back home and left it running and poked around the engine. There was a HUGE wet spot all around the radiator drain. Didn’t ever notice before, never checked it right after running it. Tightened it a bit and hopefully that solves it. Also ordered a mishimoto degas cap because there was some coolant residue around mine. Wet spot behind the egr cooler is most likely oil now that I have a massive oil leak from presumably the oil filter housing.

while that all makes me feel better, I can’t help but worry that a 30° delta is more than just an oil cooler.

When the radiators go on these trucks. Commonly the leak starts right where your pointing. Prep for a new one soon.

Just a quick question.....please tell me you didn't install a delete tune but leave the dpf on the truck? By installing a straight pipe in the near future.......I hope you mean today?
While the truck will run with a delete tune and dpf still installed....the DPF will plug up in short order and cause huge problems.
As far as coolant leak.....radiator where you noticed the puddle is a common failure point.
Your deltas...may be a clogged or clogging oil cooler.

Yup new exhaust is already on. Will be looking into putting a radiator in the truck when I do the oil cooler then, thanks for the head up!
