Hello, I am new to the ford supercharger world but have been around turbo diesel for sometime and have built some very fast trucks. I too am in the market to buy an 02 HD with 64000 miles on it and from what I have researched and been told by some of the great superchargers guys is this.

For a reliable daily driver a 6lb lower, ngk trg plugs gapped to .036, approphiate belt length, maf extender and the most important thing, the right custom tune from the right tuner.

headers are not needed for a daily driver, just when you want very high HP.

THOSE ARE MY PLANS..... I am sure somebody will add to it or dispute my post, but either way it has been proven. Look at a troyer stage 2 Kjit as well. good luck and I hope to own one soon.

PP&T (Pulley, Plugs and Tune) is a great place to start. 6lb lower for a DD
CAI is not needed until you have greater than 400hp but it looks nice.
Exhaust is good for a nice note. Headers are not needed.
Vac/Boost and A/F gauges are highly recommended.
MAF may be needed or may not be required.

Once completed there are a few NEW RULES for the fun peddle!
These NEW RULES keep you from joining the VBC (Vented Block Club)

One mod folks like is the FTVB (Factory Tech Valve Body).
(street version) OE 4x4 Pan and a new filter

How many miles are on the truck?
Has the intercooler been pulled and cleaned?
A good time to do this is when changing to colder plugs.
While the I/C is off is a good time to fill the silencer holes.
Did I mention installing Coil Pack Screws before you reassemble

IMHO the most important and first mod you should do is the L&S Oil Separator.

Enjoy!

After PP&T NEW three "basic" rules.

1) Don't do 2 gear kick downs (OD off from a stop)
2) WOT runs from 3-4th gear (Take the OD off)
3) punching it in cold weather, 60 degrees or lower

Daily driver.

and the silencer holes, what is that?
Here is a picture of a ported Eaton.

Disregard the opening/hole at the top of the S/C. The silencer holes are the slotted holes on each side.

A lot of guys will tape and fill with JB Weld because it makes the S/C whine louder.

...just wondering why "no" on the headers? Is it just not worth the money?
Because headers do nothing for performance until you're pushing a huge amount of power. The stock manifolds work very well up to a very high HP level.

^ Nice pic of the Eaton! SWEET!

My thoughts on filling the silencer holes...It can be a problem.

I'm not a big fan of pouring JB weld in my S/C. Possible later problems.
If it's not done "just right" it can sag when curing and hit the blades.
If it sags when curing, you must remove the blades and file the excess.
It does nothing for performance & I like to be a bit more quiet and stealth.

It's actually pretty easy to get it right. The tape easily holds the JB Weld until it cures, plus the blades really aren't close enough to the silencer holes to be a problem even if it wasn't perfect.

You can see from the pic above the blades have already curved away from the silencer holes creating tons of clearance.

It does nothing for performance
That's why I never did it to mine. I've done it to a buddy's Eaton, but he wanted that louder whine.

Filling the silencer holes...hahahahahahahaha
What, are you guys 16 years old? lol

And Ill go ahead and be different on the headers too.
I picked up 30 HP with long tube headers and high flow cats and that was when I was still making pretty low HP.

I wish!

Actually, 26 would be perfect, but I get to keep all of my life experience and wisdom I've accrued!

Slick, i'm sorry man, I'm not trying to be an azz, but I can't understand what you're asking. Is it possible you can add some punctuation to make it easier to understand?
