c4ae-g heads
i got a set of these heads and i need advice on what to do with them. so far i called a local shop and the guy said for 800 he would machine in hardend valve seats bronze valve guides, port match and polish exhaust and port match my intake to intake manifold, install new parts? i have new comp cams valve springs and lifters, retainers a,nd cam, 268 duration 494lift. what i need to no is if i need to get new rocker or if the old stuff will be okay. its a hydr flt tppt cam. he will do bowl work too. so basically im asking if this is al i need and if not what else do i need to make sure it runs efficiently.

Your machinist should have the heads set up for non adjustable rockers .
For $800 are you getting larger valves ? Porting and bowl blending will help a little but not really noticable without bigger valves . A .494 cam is better than stock and OK for a daily driver .
For $750 you can get heads with larger valves , springs , milled , etc , delivered to your door .
