Exhaust Help

So I immediately took notice of the truck. Anyway, when he started his truck it sounded great, with a really nice throaty rumble that wasn't too over-bearing. So I stopped him and chatted with him for a few moments. Turns out that he just got his new exhaust installed the day before yesterday. He showed me the paperwork and It was a Flowmaster kit #817505

looks like you can actually get that setup for only $530 w/ free shipping @ ExhaustExhaust
One of the guys on this forum did the Corsa system for this truck and was very pleased. Here's the link to the forum that covers the install and a review.

Allied......flows 90%+ of the race spec mufflers, very deep throaty tone, low rumble on accel/decel, sells for $30-$50 each depending on size (ranges from 10" to 34" IIRR), excellent quality, been around for 30+ years & avialable at any muffler shop.

glasspack + exhaust clamps = $30
sawsall + socket set = required tools
30 minutes + 2 beers = labor cost
Only problem with this setup is that it might be too loud for some, but don't count the noise level out until you hear one in person.... even if the db is too high for you, the less adulterated sound of a V-8 might just make you appreciate the db better.
TIP: use an impact on the clamps and you'll never have to worry about them loosening over time.

I ran into a guy last night at Home Depot who had a new 2012 F-250 6.2L 4x4 CC just like mine and was parked all the way in the back like I do.

Well, for the readers here who don't know, the Dynomax kit DOES come with a Y-pipe to replace the forward resonator, then goes into a full 4" system to the end of the tailpipe. And about the Flowmaster system post above the Dynomax one, it connects to the stock 3" pipe AFTER the forward resonator, then into a 3" inlet muffler with (2) 2-1/2" outlets into twin tailpipes to the sides or rear (you get BOTH bent and straight ends in the kit).
Hope this clarifies things

Flowmaster introduces its brand new Force II system for 2008-2011 Ford F250 Super Duty trucks with gas engines including the new 6.2L V8. This system provides the perfect balance between delivery of increased power, torque and mileage. The fully mandrel bent system consists of a clamp-on adapter that connects after the catalytic converter mounting a Flowmaster 50HD Series single inlet, dual outlet muffler.
Of course I will post back when I know for sure that it will work on our trucks, albeit maybe not a true “Catback” I do have faith...
