Differences of frame width '96 and '04?
Does anyone know the differences in frame widths between the older '96 frames and the '04 frames? I have access to a receiver hitch from a newer truck but the width seems a little narrow for my '96. I have access to fabrication shop but I do not want to create a frankenstein hitch...minor bends and welds are fine.
Thanks!

Here's one for $128 with free shipping, says it includes a ball mount insert too.

[QUOTE=CletusSnow; If it was an oem one, it may not because of bolt hole locations. However, any aftermarket hitch you would buy for your truck, that part number also fits f250/350/SD up to 2004.[/QUOTE]
The used one I found for $100 is an OEM from a '04. I'm looking at the Titan 45002. I don't currently need a weight distribution capable hitch but cost wise it doesn't make sense to buy a bigger hitch later. I already have a couple of Class 5 drop hitches and adapters.
Thanks for all of the input!
