LBGP has huge crowds, and not into F1-style racing.

Otherwise, chess! Looking forward to getting together with all the SoCal folks again!

Morning SoCal welcome to April...sorry I'm late but I had a good excuse!

Well I went out fishing all day yesterday...and we did more than fish...we CAUGHT!!! ...

Here's some pictures to prove it!

I've been enjoying a vacation down at Marco Island Florida...and we did an 8 hour charter...grouper season opened yesterday...

We went out about 25 to 28 miles...had a GREAT TIME...as you can see we caught lots of fish!

I'll be cooking up the fish tonight...going to make indiviual "pouches" of fish, onions, peppers, spices and a little butter...seal up the foil and cook them on the grill...YUM...I'll also make a big pouch of potatoes and onions as well...

I'll be enjoying another relaxing day on the beach today with the family and I think Wednesday we'll be taking the girls (my 2 and the other family we're with's 3) out on an air boat tour of the Everglades...that should be fun!

Hope everyone is having a great April so far...I know we are!

Take care,
Joe.

Yeah it was fun Steve...those grouper sure can tug the line!...LOL...

I also caught two small sharks...got them up to the boat and just released them...caught a bunch of lane snapper (kind of looks like a yellow tail snapper without the yellow tail)...we'll eat good tonight!!!

I'll be back in your neck of the woods late Easter Sunday...looks like a 3 week in a row stint...should be much quieter out by Disney now that Spring Breakers should be gone...

Started on the camping trip out to see Burro Schmidt's hangout ( Burro Schmidt Tunnel Information ), got all the way to Kraproom and the 6.8L is spittin' out coolant. Pull over to see what's what and notice the heater control valve it leakin' pretty good. Headed back home and can't see any issues with it, but I'll get a new one installed and see how it goes. (old pic, i'm on my second valve, shoulda gotten a Motorcraft).

In the meantime, my 3 boys weren't on the road for 15 minutes when they're 'starving', gotta go pee' and the 'DS lost battery power'. Seem's nothing's changed since I was a kid ('cept we had Archie comic's instead of the electrogismo's).

Hmm, different valve than mine. Only two ports on mine. Flow, or no flow. Why three ports? Is that for a rear heater?

Yeah, the folks in back want their own heater core (but not today!).

Same here. Goes-inta', goes-outa'.

Bought mine as an add-on, but it was a stock Ford part.

EX's do have that "rear-stuff".

I like the term "electrogizmos", too!

I'm surprised by that too, because I thought the crewcab was the only model that got the valve, until the new '05 cab.

Just when I think I've got a handle on how Ford equipped these things, I am thwarted.

I got mine from Bob Riley, and I just went to his site to see. He's selling a different valve now, but it functions the same.

His text reads:
"Even if you have a factory installed valve - which some 2002-2003 7.3L Powerstroke vehicle owners my notice -
we have still seen benefits from this installation because the factory provided valve does not shut off all the way."
