Seats that fit best?

Does anyone know which seats, other than stock, that fit best into these trucks? Are there any frame rails that match up to the existing bolt holes in the floor? What's in my truck is straight through the floorboard with nothing other than sheet metal that is taking all of the load.

I have one from an 83 f150. I havent checked it out much but Looks like it will fit. It came out of a '62 in a junkyard and the rears were in stock holes and the fronts were close. Measure your '82 seat. I'm thinking that's agood place to start, and pretty common in the yards too. Good luck.

Thanks GB. The seat that is in the truck now is not stock, nor do I know where it came from. It is bolted thru the floor pan, but nothing solid. I will try the '82 seats and see how they fit.
Thanks Spurredon. I will read through the articles. They might answer some more of my questions as well.

Do the holes in the frame rails line up with the original holes on the floorboard?

I put in a back seat from a 2008 Chevy Tahoe. Fits okay and looks good, though it might be a little tall.

No I had to drill new holes, I also put in a set of lap belts.

I am using a seat from an '81 F-250 in my truck check this out.

I kept the original frame rails to the truck so I didn't have to drill new holes in the cab. I just bolted the seat to the already existing rails.

That is a great idea. I bet I can do that with my '83 seat after I fix my floors.
