Back up light switch location

Is the back up light switch located inside the engine compartment on the steering column, looks like mine is missing. Is this what I need to get working? Thanks.

If it's an automatic, then it's on the column under the dash, just inside the firewall. If it's a manual, then it's on the transmission. On the 4speed it'll be on the upper housing, left front area. You will need to be either double jointed or pull off the tunnel cover to get to it.

It's a c-6 automatic. Just looked on ytube not sure but is it the netural safety switch that turns on back lights or a different switch all together. I know my neutral safety switch is missing, Thanks.

The neutral safety and reverse lights are both controlled by 1 switch, on the column. the connector is a flat 4 prong (on my '72). The bracket also has elongated mounting holes for adjustment, and short mounting screws. The one in your link is for a manual trans.
This is it: NPD Wow, expensive!
