Shift lever cap... unscrew? need real time help!

Book says 'remove shift lever cap and lift out lever'. It's the last thing to do before I pull my 223 today. Is it threaded? Or a push down and turn? Doesnt seem to wanna come off. Sheesh...... Thanks, GB

Got it! Thanks so much. The chain was already hooked up to the winch so I pulled the engine and tranny about 10 seconds later. Now to get in there and clean that filthy frame and engine compartment. And it's supposed to hit 60 degrees today! I'll post on my diesel 'hot rod' build site tonite..........
