Will these exhaust manifolds work on my '65 F250 / 352?

Just for clarification, I'm not asking if these are the original stock manifolds for a '65 352, but will they work. I'm thinking of taking the headers off and putting the manifolds back on to quiet it down some.

They sure look like the original "log", type manifolds I took off my '66!

^ Not from any F100/350 FE. Enlarge the pic, look at the ID prefixes: One is C8AE, t'other is C3SE, these are car manifolds.

Both are from Passenger Cars, the exhaust collectors are in different locations than F100/350 FE exhaust manifolds.

The left (drivers) side 1961/63 T-B (C3SE) manifold may not clear the trucks steering box.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
F100/350 352/360/390: The right (passenger) side exhaust manifold is the same 1965/76, could have an ID number of C5TE-9430, C8TE=9430 or D0TE-9430.

D0TZ-9430-A (replaced C5TZ-9430-A & C8TZ-9430-A) .. Right (Passenger) Side Exhaust Manifold / Obsolete
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The left (drivers) side exhaust manifold is the same: 1965/67 F100/350 352 & 1973/74 F100 360. ID number C5TE-9431.

C5TZ-9431-A .. Left (Drivers) Side Exhaust Manifold / Obsolete / These trucks have a heat riser valve, the manifold is machined for it.

Excepting the heat riser, 1968/76 left manifold is the same, ID number C8TE-9431 / Ford part number: C8TZ-9431-A

I saw a new pair online for $75 + free shipping. Probably made in China, but if they work, it's a good price. I paid that for a used set.

Hm... wonder if those would fit your truck, and my '65 F-350 (which currently has a 360, and someday I'll build the 390 from the pile of parts in my barn). The "AM Autoparts" site only says '68-'76...

I thought you were looking to do things to your truck to get better milage. Putting those back on certainly will not help with that. More airflow in and more airflow out= more hp and torque= better mpg. Oh and automatic trans will rob hp and mpg. Just saying.

Remove your headers to go back to manifolds?? If Steve McQueen were here,
he would slap you.

If you want to quiet the truck down, go to a set of 60 Series FlowMasters, but don't go
and do something that's going to choke off the engine airflow. There is so much technology
in mufflers now that still allow decent performance.

If you do this you will no longer be able to refer to yourself as "BigMike". We will call you
"Francis".

My truck had headers on it when I bought it. They fit poorly and i was replacing gaskets on a regular basis. I also didn't like removing the header to replace the starter. I replaced them with stock manifolds and haven't had a problem since. Steve McQueen might want to slap me, but it's a truck not a race car. When I want to go fast, I drive one of my Mustangs.

Manifolds

Truck manifolds are bigger than car manifolds. FE engines (truck) from 65 through when Ford stopped making them use the same manifolds. Likley Ford sells them. Truck manifolds flow pretty well for just driving around. Headders are great for race cars but are a real PITA when it comes to leaks and cooked starters. So if you are just driving your truck, manifolds are fine. Be sure they are flat and true (machine shop) and add a set of gaskets. Follow torque sequence and specifications. True duals with a crossover pipe or even a X pipe if you want to spend a few bucks. Not interested in re-starting the age old pi$$ing contest about headders verses manifolds. This is my opinion based on 50 years experience working on these old trucks. IMHO!

There is one right side, 2 different left sides.

Likely Ford sells them.
