Hid Projector Retrofit in progress

Started the hid retrofit in my 2011 ford expedition, as it turns out, it has so far been easier then expected, so far, my alignment is off by .5mm - 1mm on one projector, but i think that might be acceptable, since the risk of messing it up more is greater. Using a FX-R 3.0 projector, same as the one from theretrofitsource. Will be driving philips 85122 bulbs at 50watts in this. Have to say the reflector bowls are made of a metal/plastic mixture, but they are brittle as heck!! Enjoy!

Looks nice. Do you have a daylight pic with the lights on and off?

Led fogs would have been an idea as well.

slightly sad, driver side projector is slightly off, lesson learned, do not silicone stuff on, because i wont be able to get it back off. going to try to shim everything into place.

HIDs in 2010

Hey All. I know this thread is nearly a year old however I could use some direction. I just picked up our 3rd expedition a nearly new 2010 Limited Dark Grey with black interior dark headlights etc.. Love the look of this. I traded my 05 Eddie Expy with 115,000 miles.

I would like to change my headlights to HID.. and my fogs. did you use same bulb mounts and just put in HIDs or what did you do for both the headlights and fogs?

Thanks in advance,

Tank

i retrofitted my lights, ripped them apart, put in projectors then sealed them back up

HiDplanet : The Official Automotive Lighting Forum is a good site for retrofitting.
