New ford owner

Hey guys,
I recently just purchased a 1959 F100 with a 223 and the pcv valve is sorta giving me trouble, or my lack of. When I purchased the truck the old owner sorta just handed me the pcv and said goodluck. I took a few pictures and if you could help me out to see what I am missing or how to replace I would greatly appreciate it. I tried a quick search I didn't see anything that I quite understand.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to FTE! Looks like you are going to get some rubber hose to connect to the PCV. The PCV acts as a check valve in between the road draft tube hole and the botton of the carb, or just under the carb in the intake. You could cut off the hard line you have coming up and convert to rubber there and then slip it over the end of the PCV. Either of the two holes in the intake manifold will work for the other connection point. The fitting you already have on it looks like it will fit.
