Serpentine Belt change out on 2005 F-150 V8 5.4
Degree of difficulty? I've never done before. Not on any vehicle. Tools? Time?
Got one quote from a shop for $137 (I think, maybe $173 though
Any input would be appreciated?
I have a Chiltons to guide me but would appreciate any other tips I can get!
Thanks in advance!

I did mine last July. It is not bad at all. I paid 32 bucks for the belt. Do it yourself, you'll save a lot of money. Here is a link to a thread I wrote about it on here. It'll tell you what you need to know. I also changed an idler pulley while I was at it.

I guess I shoulda read your post better. If you haven't ever done any vehicles belt should know it is not difficult if you have basic mechanical knowledge. You will have to remove the breather tube that feeds the air filter box, then you can get to the belt. You will need a long 1/2 in drive ratchet to move the tensioner pulley, I think you move it from your left to right as you are facing the vehicle, if I remember right. Like I said I used my torque wrench to move it as it had the longest handle of any ratchet I got. If you have never done one the whole thing should take you about 20 minutes.
