A Holmes 650 body would squash your truck like a grape. The F-7 is the smallest truck you could put it on, and even then you wouldn't use it at it's full potential. You need to look for a 515, or a 525. They are much more common. I find them pretty often, but rust is always an issue. I'm sure you can find one out West, where things stay cleaner.
And by the way, I'm still looking for a 650!

I just made a deal on another 650. I just have to wait for a buddy to help me retrieve it. With the one I already have and this one, I have enough parts to build a nice one!

Chuck - I've got a good buddy, Dave, who has a good buddy named Mike Shaffer whose family owns the biggest recovery company in town. They do all the interstate roll over recovery work. I've asked Dave to talk to Mike about your 650. Dave said Mike is real active in the TRAA so may have contacts that normal guys wouldn't have. I'll let you know what I hear . Stu

Chuck,
The guy said the truck was bought new as a wrecker by the garage he works at, it ran up until 10 years ago then was put into storage. It has not ran since then and is not running now. He just got back to me and confirmed it is a Holmes 500. What do you think it's worth???

As far as value, it's hard to say without looking at it. If the body is as good as it looks, it's probably worth 2500.00 by itself. But bear in mind that it's only worth that if somebody wants it. Certainly a very limited market. I can't tell you much about a non-Ford truck, but like any old truck, if it's in nice shape, it has value.
