Replacement Windshield

I was looking to replace my windshield but was told all the new ones have a slight green tint to them. Is that true? If so doesn't that look funny against clear side glass?

Thanks,
John

I dont think thats true, I just saw a company that had them 3 ways. Clear, green tint or smoked. Now I just need to see if I can find where I was looking.

Ok that'd be great. Windshields to go told me their manufacturer in Mexico only made them w/ slight tint so that's good news.

I thought Bobs Classic Auto Glass had them, it looks like Sanders Reproduction Glass has the clear. Custom Auto Glass | Hot Rods and Classic Car Windshields.
I am also going to be looking for a clear windshield soon

New windshields should be available from any autoglass shop. So you don't have to buy it in Anaheim CA (BOTP), than pay shipping charges to the east coast, that could be as much, or more than the price of the w/shield!

And...besides, where do you think BOTP and all the other repro parts sellers are buying w/shields from? Autoglass shops, then...marking the prices up in the process.

Peeps are unaware, buy parts from Timbukto, pay needless shipping charges, when they could buy the same puppies locally.

1957/60 F100/1100: NAGS # W496 ~ Specify clear, tinted, sunband, or whatever.

NAGS = National Auto Glass Society = Auto Glass Shop part numbers.

Note: If replacing the w/shield weatherstrip, there are TWO different types: With or without stainless steel w/shield reveal mouldings.

Custom Cabs have the mouldings, the w/strip (B7C-8103110-B) has a groove in it.

Standard Cabs do not have the mouldings, there is no groove in the w/strip (B7C-8103110-A).
