Seat swaps

So, tonight, I put a set of captains chairs from an 89 Bronco into my 89 F250. It was a success, but holy $#!+ NEVER AGAIN. My uncle fabricated up some mounts on a set of probe seats so they would bolt in using only the bench seat mount holes, and I had them for a couple months but didnt like them.
So I figured I'd start a thread here, anybody else swapped a set of seats that didn't belong in their trucks with any success? Just kind of curious to everybody's ideas on the matter.

I put buckets in a Ranger and i had a welder make some mounts that the bucket seat bolted to and then the mounts bolted to the floor. I used the same pre existing holes in the floor where the bench seat was bolted. Same kinda story as yours. I have no regrets but the buckets need to be re upholstered now.

I thought that all Bronco, F150/250/350 seats where interchangable within their body style years?

If you have a reg. cab or crew cab, all benchs are interchangeable.

Super cabs are unique.

Putting buckets in a bench seat truck is not a bolt in deal.

I want to find a bench seat out of a 92-96 F150. The bench seat with the fold down center console. Would that fit in my 89 F150 Supercab?

It would have to come out of a Super cab as well.

The 87-91 XLT seats are nice, and very comfortable.

Extended cab seat backs fold (right also slides) to allow access to the back seat.

OK. So I would need a bench seat out of a 92-96 F150 supercab... fun.

Thats why I want the 92-96 bench seat with the fold down console. Because its like a 3 piece seat, both the passenger and drivers side fold over and slid up. Or at least the ones I have dealt with.

Its a 40/20/40 split bench. Super nice setup. The back of the center seat folds down when not in use & is a center console, cup holder/ arm rest. My 95 ext cab has one.

Those are what I have in my 97 F250 HD XLT. Drivers side is 6 way power, passenger is manual. Both have power lumbar supports.

If it helps, my 96 4door has 40/20/40 seats in front and they do not seem to release and slide forward the way the same seats seemed to do in my old crewcab. Maybe I'm doing it wrong though.

ok guys your twisted up here. every bucket seat option will bolt to the floors of the 80-96 and 97hd period , you can use a supercab bench in any of the trucks , but cant use a std bench in a s/c , dont forget, even though rare , broncos used the same super cab full bench seat.

I put 2000 F-350 40/20/40 split bench seats in my F-250. Wasn't too bad of a swap.. Drill a few new holes and make a spacer for the passenger side seat. It's comfortable and the seats are nice, but not having cup holders is getting on my nerves. LOL

I'm trying to decide on what seats I want for my F-150 now.. I would like stock split bench seats for it, but finding them in good shape has become a nightmare. I may bit the bullet and get some Corbeau bucket seats with a console. Corbeau has seat tracks that bolt in using the factory bench seat holes to mount the buckets. Then just find a console from a bronco or something and stick it in there..
