I have a 2002 f150 supercab with a 5.4 triton,i am getting a code saying that number 6 cylinder is misfiring what is the firing order?

 

6 would be the drivers side second back from the front.

 

Standing in Front of the truck.
----------- 5 - 1
Driver side--6 - 2
----------- 7 - 3 Passenger side
----------- 8 - 4
Back of engine.

Cylinder 6 is on the driver's side of truck, second back from the front of the truck.

 

You may think it nit picking but it's not the fire order.
It's the cylinder physical position designation as a reference Ford uses.
Actual fire 'order' is quite different.
The injectors follow the same fire order but operate a short time before ignition in each cylinder when the intake valve is open, for obvious reasons.
