Anyone one with a 6.2 cab chassis dually

looking for info on the cab chassis with the 6.2 liter engine. I am looking at upgrading from my old 99 cummins and I am gunshy on all the complexity of the new emmission diesels of today.

Why not go with a V10?

In a C&C you can still get the 6.8 V10, that's the way I'd go. But either way, I think both are great engines. I went from a 6.8 to the 6.2 and I love the 6.2 so far, it's a beast. I haven't towed with it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

You can check on the Super Duty forum as a number of folks there have C&C's.

Not sure if you can get a C&C in a 250 or 350. Thought I saw somewhere it has to be a F450, which means you can not get the 6.2 you would have to get the V10. That's what we got at work for our bucket trucks. I may be wrong though with the configuration.

All that I have seen available have been F350 cab and chassis with either 6.7 diesel or 6.2 gas

LoL I posted there and was directed to post here! No harm no fowl good reading in both.
I have not seen a F350 cab chassis with the v10,I think it is only available in F450 and up

The F350 can be had with the 6.2 or the 6.7, F450+ can be had with the 6.8 (including medium duty) 6.7 on 450-550 cummin's on 650/750.

But to the TC yes you can as long as the 350 is big enough to suit your needs.

Here's my 2011 F350 6.2L Cab Chassis build. The body is about 2000 pounds and the plow is 1000. Plenty of power.

How's the MPG's?

I currently drive an 92 F250 diesel, original owner. The current diesel offerings scare me off too with all the emission crap and the need to regen. I'm thinking a F350 dually but wondering on how much of a mileage hit I'd be taking with DRW vs SRW. I'd prefer DRW cause I'd be carrying 3000 lbs in the bed in the form of a 950 Jayco cab over!

Thanks

Billy Mike
