Wheel offset

What is the correct wheel offset for 2011 F350? I'm looking at buying some new wheels, and, there are 4 or 5 wheel offsets available for the wheels I'm considering (Fuel Octanes). One of the sales people said that 150 is standard for my truck.

The wheel offset you want will also depend on the wheel width you pick.

Are you wanting the wheels to stick out past the fenders? If so, how much?

What diameter wheel do you want?

What size tires are you going to use?

Nitto Terra Grapplers 297/70r18, on truck now.

Thanks man.

Currently I have 20x10 wheels with a -18 offset (4.79 Backspace). They stick out 2-2.5"

Next set of wheels are going to be 22x9.5 Fuel hostage wheels with a -6 offset (5.00 Backspace) and will stick out about 1.5-2".

A 18x9 with 5" backspace should stick out 1-1.5" give or take a bit.

All this of course is based off my current wheels and how they "appear" to stick out. Depending on where you measure what from. I'm basing my measurements from the center of the wheel opening above the tire.

Mine are 20x10 -25mm, 4.5 backspace. Its a bit of a crapshoot the more negative you go. I have a 2.5" lift 35s as I wanted to stay low enough that a four year old could reach the door handle. I had to trim the fenders slightly behind the tired and space the front bumper out 1.5 in. I like thelook sticking out, others may not. I also get lots of crap on the side windows flipping up.

as far as I know the stock 20" wheels are +40mm offset. I went with- 12mm offset on my new wheels which put the rims out 52mm from stock (2").

Thanks

That would be true with both wheels were the same diameter. Problem is, they're not.

Stock wheels I believe are 8" wide and your 20s are 10" wide.

Offset is based off the center line of the wheel. The center of the wheel is different on different width wheels.

You could compare the 2 on backspace, then do the math to figure out how much wheel is forward of the hub. Then compare those 2 numbers to tell how much further the new wheels will stick out past the stockers.

Mine are 20x9 with a -12 offset. I have no rubbing with 295/65R20 tires or my current 35x12.5x 20 tires

Do you have any pictures showing the flush mounted lights? I have a very similar truck to yours and am thinking of some of the same mods. Your truck looks excellent from what I can see. I'd also like to see a full side view so I can see your lift/tire combo.

Thanks, if you have time it would be great.

That looks awesome. Just poke out a little, doesn't look like it would be to hard on paint without fender flares.
