CLT9000
Hello,
Anybody here a big fan of the old CLT9000's? I bought one last summer off my neighbor. it's a 1981 model, with the red white and blue stripes. has and air ride cab, powered by a 8v-92ta 435hp detroit, with a 15 speed transmision, dual crome striaght pipes that rattles anything within a mile. neet old truck.
it sat for 2 year before i got it, but after a lot of air leaks, new tires and wheels and polish i got it up and running and hauled grain with it last fall.
here is the kicker, it only has 148000 original miles on it its in really nice shape. I will have to get a picture of it to post here if anybody really wants to see it.

Send the picture to my e-mail and I will post it for you. You have to use something like Photo Bucket in order to post pictures. Open a Photo Bucket account, it is free. Up load your pictures to Photo Bucket and then use the drop down menu at the bottom of the picture and go down to Image code and left click it. Then go back to the forum and hit Ctrl V and the code will be copied to your post.

A couple great looking CLT's!
Back in the day I drove nothing but cabovers Internationals, KW's, Pete's, and Freightshakers.
I never drove a Ford just wondered how they rode with that air ride cab they had.
Had a nice 1987 LTL 9000 with a 425 Cat and 15 spd that I hauled oversize equipment with.

I HAVE THAT SAME TRUCK!!!!!!!!!!! Only i have been restoring it and painted it black and have aluminum wheels. But it is a 1981 Ford CLT9000 88" sleeper (same as yours), 8v92ta detroit diesel with 13 speed. It is defiantly a unique truck but i love it.......and i still have yet to drive it on the road. Im still lookin for some odds and end pieces to finish.
NICE TRUCK!
