New to the Harley Trucks! Need advice
Hey guys, I just recently bought a pretty slick 80,000 mile Harley truck. Its a supercharged 02 model.
The basics:
bought with 80,000 miles. Had aftermarket supercharger pulley (upper) and custom tunes.
I couldn't get in touch with the previous owner, but when this weather turned colder, I began having problems with a CEL and it said it was running lean. I decided since it had unknown tunes, I would have ford flash it to latest factory tunes. I then put a diablo sport with the Performance 93 octane pulley tune on it.
Am I on the right track with these tunes?
Also, I am wondering if I need to give any attention to the spark plugs before I have trouble? I really doubt she's ever had a tune up at these miles (My 02 explorer didn't need one till 100k.) but in this case, do I need to do something before I have trouble with the plugs sticking in the heads?
Finally, what is detonation all about? I occasionally hear a ticking when I'm in it really hard, but I let out and it quits. Any worries?

I just googled "kentucky chassis dyno" and came up with these guys. I don't know anything about them, it's the first thing I saw. Do some research on them. Google maps says they are about 3 hours from ya. As long as they have a wide band air/fuel meter they should be able to get you set up.
