Chassis issue corrected?

I remember the issue about the chassis some owners had a while ago (mostly because of the abuse), was this corrected and the chassis strenghtened for the 2012 model? i hope they did. This is the truck that has excited me the most in a long while.

The frame for the 2012s is unchanged from 2010-2011 and I would not expect to see any changes. If that part of the frame is beefed up, it will degrade crash performance if you are rear-ended. There was / is not an issue with the frame, just some drivers who needed 16" of wheel travel when this truck has 12".

+1

The only issue I heard about was a bunch of jerk offs sucking at driving.

Yeah, I am thinking about getting a Raptor and saw those videos and read the threads. That isn't Fords fault, I would still be looking at getting one if the price tag wasn't +$50,000 and then you have dealer mark-ups....

The chassis is already though. There is a video on youtube with the head designer telling about the problem and what happened.

I went to look for it and didn't find it. However I did find a YouTube of some kid recording it off of a tv with a camcorder. He cusses some so I didn't post it. If you want to see it go to YouTube and search..... Adam carolla ford raptor. You will see. It's only one video. I will try to find that interview with the lead designer.....whatever his name is

It's nice to see an engineer respond to forums such as ours.
