"Please list your location and truck"
I just checked back in at our old stomping grounds(48-56), saw an old thread I remembered, started by Bob Jones, and felt it bears repeating here.
Most of you already do this, but please list your location, and your truck. It will help when seeking advice,or even parts from other members. That way, they can see if it's feasible to ship parts,or even meeting up to lend a hand. Here is a quote from Bob on that other thread:
"... we don't need to know your street address just your general location. I have SE WI for my location because I feel it saves time than to list Germantown because no one knows where Germantown is located in WI and there are actually two Germantowns in WI, the other one is on the other side of the state. If we know where you're located there might be someone close by that can help out with either locating parts or even coming over to lend a hand. I feel more willing to help some one if I see they're close by. I also know local establishments that can supply parts that you might not know about.
You can enter all this information by going to your control panel, or "CP" toward the upper left hand site of any of pages on this site. You had to fill out the forms to get on the site just go back to where you did this and fish around a bit, you'll find all the place you need to insert this information."

Look at my signature below. That's about half. And they all run. As far as a cure, I have tried everything to stay away from old ford trucks. Bought my first, a '65 in '71, sold it a year later for a 29 AA 1 1/2 ton stakebed which was my daily driver for 3 years. By the time I was 21 I was DEEP into it. That was 37 years ago, so get used to it. I have 2 flatbed trailers, a double and a triple axle and I really need to put an electric winch on one of them, but I keep telling myself that I won't need it because I'm done hauling home trucks. That's why I'm here at my computer with aching shoulders because the last F350 I cranked on one click at a time with my ancient come-a-long. Don't ever stop, and good luck!

sorry spur, i say pos in the most loving way i can. i could say parts truck or donor. i will think of something else. and for the record, my wife calls them a lot worse than a pos. so what the deal buzz, 122 people look at the thread and only 5 reply, i might go back to the other side with my manure spreaders.

My "New" 57 F100 and needs parts
I recently bought a 57 Ford F100 on a Dodge frame and seats and engine. My almost 16 year old Grandson has basically taken it over.He has driven it much more than I have. I drove it home from purchase and home from the Somerset, Ky Somernites Car Show in Sep, out of town for Oct Cruise. I need sunvisors and Hood center emblem and passenger side hood emblem. A local 57 Ford owner brought me for free a door handle that I needed. Danny Irvine is a great guy. I've checked Greens and most of the bigger sales places and no go so far. I did get the drivers side hood emblem from vendor on ebay from Az and well pleased with it. I'll attempt pics. I live in Somerset, Ky.
