Radiator support replacement?
I was installing a hitch on the front of my '95 F350 and removed the front bumper and grille to get enough room to fit my hands plus tools in to tighten everything up. While the bumper and grille were off I noticed the radiator support has a lot of rust on it. In fact some of it was just plain gone.
Have been looking at some on-line parts catalogs but had trouble finding a support that will fit on a F350 with 7.3L PSD and 4WD. They all say fits "gas only". I sent e-mails to a couple on-line parts suppliers but haven't heard back from them yet.
Tried searching the forums here but I run out of patience when I don't see what I'm looking for. Sorry if this subject has been beaten to death here but has anyone had to replace their support yet?

FORD is the ONLY place to get a diesel rad support for the 92-97 trucks.To the tune of $711 LIST. Some aftermarket places have listings for them, but they are just lying, they will send you a gasser support which will not hold the Approx 5" deeper diesel radiator. You will not find any clean used ones around here either. They are the 1st thing to rot away

$700 or more for a new support? Holy crap! Maybe I can work some sheetmetal in around it somehow. I'll have to dig in there and take a better look at it.
I have a little rot around the wheel wells too. Guess I should have been paying more attention. Looks like I've got myself a restoration project come spring time!

I received a message from NPD saying they have a PSD radiator support for $783 (I doubt it includes shipping). That makes the $533 price Brad mentioned seem like a bargain!
I'm wondering what other rot I'm going to find when I start poking around. If the radiator support is the first thing to rot out, what's the second?

I just looked, we list a proper dsl one now, by dimensions, but only for the NON A/C trucks with the short 1166 radator which has a 15" tall core, whereas the 1165 A/C radiator is 23" tall core... go figure, I think more of these had A/C than not. Sometimes I just cant figure out these parts analysts/engineers...

Talk to some of your friends that have a account with ford. I get 25% off, that is why my price is what it is.

Actually scooter, there a three different core supports out here in the real world. Gasser, and small and large diesel. I have seen and touched all three over the years. So before you call someone out for lying, check your facts. Ever have some one try and put the big radiator in a factory non-ac truck, gee for some reason it wont fit properly without modding ****... I WONDER why that could be...
I have 2 a/c trucks and 2 NON a/c trucks(92-97). All the same radiator AND SUPPORT.
That is why FORD only list ONE support for a diesel. Because there is ONLY ONE
Maybe in the 83-91 they are different. BUT NOT FOR THE 92-97 Diesels.

I don't know anyone with a Ford account. If I did they'd probably shy away from me by now from bugging them so much. I just replaced the spare tire hanger hardware, the rear diesel tank, glow plug relay and a bunch of other stuff not that long ago.
Will be checking the radiator support later to see what I can do. I may be able to work some sheet metal patches around it. And the wheel well rot. My arthritis doesn't appreciate the chilly weather that's moving in so it's going to be a spring-time project now.
