I don't know what the "best" oil is but I use Rotella T6. It's widely available and the specs on the jugs say good things. If you believe the marketing...

Rotella T6 for me as well. Was a Mobil 1 syn guy for years. Switched because Rotella T6 is made locally (not because I think it is any better than Mobil 1). It is also cheaper than Mobil 1 here!

Thanks

Delo 400LE 15/40. Used for years in other diesel engines with excellent wear and longetivity.

I assume Ford puts in the Non-Syn Motorcraft when you take it in for a service unless otherwise specified.

Dealer serviced. IMHO nothing beats a stack of dealer service reciepts should a warranty dispute occur concerning maintenance.

Yep, that is the aweful truth. Our dealer sends out oil and filter change coupons every quarter. 58 bucks for diesel. You dont even need the coupon he has em behind the counter

Our fleet has run their products since the early 1980's. Their packaging looks like junk, but the best product out there. The hundreds of analysis are from our company, not them.

Motorcraft 15w-40 here.
Takes 5 minutes to pickup a few jugs at the local auto zone.

Dealer serviced, they use motorcraft 10w-30. Asked about using 5w-40, the tech said not needed.
