advice: 2001 Lightning
I'm thinking about trading my SD (info in sig) for this lightning. 2001 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning 2WD - Cars For Sale Longwood, FL
Car fax is clean and its a 1 owner. Is it worth it? What things would i need to look for specific to that truck?
I love my current truck but my wife is having a hard time getting in and out of it. The lightning will only be used for shopping, errands and days when its raining too hard to ride.

I'm in the process of selling my current truck. That lightning is an hour a way from me. I talked to the owner of the dealer and he knows its over priced. The only reason that particular lightning is appealing to me is the fact its 1 owner. For the past 10 years it was corporate owned. From what i can tell it hasn't been modded out either. I spent a couple hours looking within 200 miles from my house for one that is reasonably priced and hasn't been beat to death (new motors, trannies, ect). Staying away from red that its one of the better ones.
Ive been doing some research what else do i need to look for besides leaking inter coolers and the obvious stuff nos, pulleys, drive shaft, ect?

I don't regret the trade one bit. My needs for the F250 changed but i still needed a truck. I get much better gas mileage, insurance is half what i was paying, and the lightning is so much more fun to drive. The only down side is all the $$$ i will spend in mods but its more then worth it seeing the look on peoples faces.

On 1999-2000 models, make sure the intercooler recall was done on it already and go ahead and get an oil separator..If the recall has been done,go ahead and pull the IC and clean it with some fresh plugs if it has over 100k miles.
Ive had mine for 3 years now and love it...Bout to dump some more $$$$$$ into it
