All I can tell you is that the 94 F700 that I have weighs very close to 10K.
That weight was as a chassis cab. Factory double frame, 5.9 cummins engine, 6speed eaton, 22K rated rear axle, 10K front. air brakes, full 50 gallon fuel tank. 196 wheel base.

hope this helps.

The Certification Label will have the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) printed on it.

The 4th digit of the VIN defines the GVWR even further.

Correctamundo, but the only place the OP can get an accurate weight, is at a truck scale.

There's a gazillion differences between truck models, years, powertrains, fuel tanks, "back of cab" equipment and et cetera.

So, guessing what the weight could be, doesn't cut it.

You're right, the air breaks could make a big difference.

That's the breaks...or is it brakes?

The most commonly misspelled word associated with vehicles on FTE is brakes.

Oh give me a break.. HAHA

lets just say the truck weighs between 8000 and 12000..

If you need a more exact number, you really should just drive her down to your local scale.. (I suggest you wait till they're closed if its a DOT scale) Sneak onto your local transfer station scale.. strap some garbage cans to the back. Thats how got the scale weight dropped on my 800 truck. It was a crane for its first 30 years then it got down sized to mechanic truck.. Much lighter.

I have a 1990 workready catolog and in 1990(dont see too much of a difference from 1987 to 1990) there were 3 F700's offered with that drivetrain combination. One had a 24,500 GVW, 153 WB and chassis weight was 9,170 lbs. Next was 28,000 GVW, 153in WB and chassis weight was 9,040 lbs. Last was was 28,000 GVW, 207in WB and chassis weight was 9,531 lbs. Hope this helps
