Interesting. I am excited to see what upgrades were going to be able to do... Intake, exhaust, chip etc... I've heard that this motor is one that should stay stock but why? Cause of the turbos?

3" pipe to flange, 2 1/2" resonator & pipe to the muffler which is 3" with 3" tailpipe, & system is straight through.

That's stock, I haven't changed anything yet. Plan to remove the 2 1/2" section & replace with a straight piece of 3" pipe.

stock muffler question

For anyone who has removed their stock exhaust/muffler. I guess it's straight-thru but wonder about the pipe configuration as to perforated core or louvered.

I plan to keep the stock muffler if it's perforated rather than louvered, that's why I asked.

The Ecoboost sounds kinda like rice to me, not surprising since it is a V6. I see Hearthrob sells a 4" exhaust for the EB but a 4" exhaust sure seems oversized but I guess the turbos help to keep the power there. Hearthrob is claiming like a 39hp increase which is a lot.

Actually listening to the numbers it is far short of the claimed HP and Torque Ford states...how does this show well for this exhaust??
