Man Cave
OK guys after 10yrs of trying to get this done,I am just getting started.
The project! A 25x25 two car garage.
Goal is to rewire, insulate, and finish walls and celling.
Walls will be OSB board and celling will be tin.
The first problem I ran into is that the PO had put plywood on the truss over hangs blocking the soffit from venting. So the first thing I did was installed two roof vents and removed the plywood from the over hang.Next on the inside I put in the truss vents. So now I have a building that will breath the way it should.
On to wiring.I install a 100 amp square D panel box.Next I ran all new wires (12-2 w/ground) for outlets, lights, and exhaust fan.I used 10-2 w/ground for air compressor and heater.Next was a 100' tench and 2/0 wire run from my house to the garage.
I'll see if I can get some pics up later.Right now I'm going back out to back fill the trench.

George I realized that when I pull my 01 CC in there.Just enough room to get out the door of the truck.Back bumper against the work bench and enough room to close the overhead door.
For any big projects I go to the farm we have a 60 x 100 shop there.
As far as cutting and welding I have a welding table made up for that.
Taking a break,my back is telling me I did to much and I'm not finished filling in the trench.

This gives you a idea of what I am starting with.As you can see the truck makes a nice shelf.
I had to jackhammer through the side walk and work my way around the footing to get the wire up to the wall were it will go into the building.
New service line is run and trench is backfilled and waiting to be hooked up.Wile I am waiting for my electrician, its time to move inside to start insulating the walls and put up the OSB board.

HOLY COW!
I complete forgot to up date this one.
The inside is all finished.I put OSB on the ceiling instead of tin,OSB was a little cheaper. I put in a square D 100 amp box,and all new wiring.Walls and ceiling are all insulated.I installed a electric heater.Fahrenheat Ceiling-Mount 5000 Watt Electric Heater, Model# FUH5-4 | Electric Garage Industrial Heaters| Northern Tool + Equipment One like this.
If I get some time I'll snap some pics of the inside.

Same here, my entire place is a man cave! The women who've dared step inside immediately know I'm single!
Hope to see the photos of the finished project!

I've got 2 of those heaters. I run one in my 20x20 shop and it works pretty good and can keep up. The other I have in my 24x36 garage and it takes the chill off. It has a hard time keeping up but does okay for the little amount of $ I have invested in it. I was thinking about moving one down from the smaller shop that I don't use that often and putting it on the other end of my garage space. My walls are OSB with insulation and the ceiling is gypsum wallboard that is insulated as well. Dittos on filling up a 100x100 space. If I had the space I would drag more of these orphans home.
