My 2005 Freestyle has 120K miles and the power steering pump has started to hum and the steering is getting heavier.
The local dealership does not sell a repair manual. The local autoparts store does not list one.
Looking from above the engine, it is not obvious how the pump comes out. Does anyone have a recommendation or procedure on how to replace it?

Change all fluid first and see if the noise goes away. My '07 started to make the noise and after a complete flush, the noise went away.

 

I checked all possibility regarding the hoses and my only thought is the pump I'm changing the pump and I will let you know
