I would like to get an idea of the fuel mileage people are getting with the new Powerstroke. I'm consistantly @ 13 - 14 city... 15 highway. This seems low to me as I was getting 17 - 19 with my '95 7.3L. 4x4/ F350 crew lbed/ SRW/ 3.73 ltd slip.

 

Remember it takes a while for a new motor to get broken it.

 

Yeah... I had the same experience with my 7.3. I've got 5500 miles right now...

 

Just filled up new 6.0L Excursion for the 3rd time. Now at 1,529 miles and this last tank worked out to 16.7 mpg.

 

I am getting about 19mpg on the highway, 75mph on cruise control, no load no towing. One time I got 20mpg on a long fishing trip on the highway, 70mph cruise control with a canoe on top.

I have gotten 18.00, 17.99 and 17.88 on my first 3 tanks of fuel. The truck is a 03 Excursion 4X2 and most of driving was in metro Atlanta traffic.
