Location of ABS antilock brake control module on 1999 E350 V10

Hi All
On my dash, both my Brake and ABS lights stay lit. Brakes seem to work ok. Afraid to drive the van, until I know the brakes can be trusted!

Where is the physical location of the ABS Black box?
Part # F8UF-2C018-AA

One troubleshooting instruction stated: that you unplug the
electrical plug from the ABS Box. If the Both lights go out, the problem is in the ABS system. If only the ABS light goes out, the problem is in the brake light system. ( emg brake switch, Fluid low switch, Brake light switch, ect)

I this Troubeshooting tip correct?

The aftermarket manuals do not cover the ABS system very well. Is there a internet site with better repair manuals?

Thanks any help would be welcome.

Hi Again

I never did find the ABS Box. Following a thread I found on this forum, I pulled the plug on the the rear axle abs sensor and took a ohm meter and it read zero ohms. I installed a new $15 dollar sensor and the dash light are off for now.

Is there a Ford E350 manual posted somewhere on the internet?

Thanks very much! You have save me a big bill at a Ford shop.

This forum indeed is a great source of info mostly because its by those who have dirty hands from actually doing any particular task. They've been there, done that and contribute some great info. I'd advise shying away from references to Chilton or similar generic manuals as too often they're not quite as deep into more specialized items or systems like your ABS problem.

Someone here might be better able to direct you to an online Ford factory manual but I have my own--found a CD-ROM on eBay several years ago. While it doesn't answer every question it has the best information generally.

Maybe also invest in a good code reader that'll let you erase codes. I have a nice Actron CP9580 that does so much I've not yet discovered all it can do.

Glad you got that errant rear diff sensor sorted out----my code reader found mine easy peasy and changing it was easy too.

Welcome to the forums BTW!
