Head West towards Winchester. Anywhere SW along 81 and you should be good!
Ohh that season where it can be 70 and sunny one week and snowing the next. Then 70 again the following week? Is that winter?
Normally they're mild and when it does snow just about everything, even the gov't, shuts down. A dusting usually sends the kids home from school, or keeps them home. NoVA sees a little more snow than we do here in Richmond. Strange what just 75+ miles does to temps and patterns.
looking forword to fall but don't want it to come too fast.
how are the winters down here in VA?
Hit or miss. As MCDavis said....one week will be unseasonably warm (60*+), the next below freezing. I went hunting the middle of last November and it was in the mid-50's. I spent as much time peeling off and putting on layers of clothing (it seemed to be 10*+ warmer in the open as I did looking for deer.
We (Fredericksburg) got 30"+ of snow the winter of '09 and ~3" this past winter. It all depends on how the weather systems run.
Hit and miss Rob. 1st year down here (Stuart)(2000) people said it was the coldest it has been in a while. We put a roof on in end of Dec and a lawn in during Feb. Last 2 winters, there was times it was warmer in NY and more snow in VA than in NY. ATCcrazy had some pics of snow in Roanoke.
