My grandad has an original '47 stakebed (last of the car model) and it actually has the original tailight /license mount (standard was 1 tail light on driver side, it was an option to get a passenger taillight - just like passenger wiper).
I have a '48 stakebed which came with nothing. I am in the process of fabing mine - it will go on the driver as well.
I believe that stakebed, styleside, etc all styles the original was 1 tail light / license plate on the driver only and option package for the passenger light.
