Divider bar on my 53

Hey guys I guesss I may be making an easy task hard , but here goes I am having problems getting the divider bar in the door on my 53, I could take the bracket off of the bottom and reinstall it with small bolts when I get it in the door. I know there has to be a trick any advice would much appreciated !

They barely go in at an angle(obviously through the door access panel). Prior to putting it in, make sure you have your vent window in place and screwed in. I spent about 8 hours on each door and I'd say they came out a little worse than I hoped for. I did not remove that bracket, but if I remember correctly, I had to rotate the whole bar once it was in the door.

Thanks for the reply, I got it in , had to remove the lock assmbly and slide the end through that hole and it turned after that. If I can get my glass curt right I hope to get this thing back together. I got this truck with a lot of new parts including new window glass the only problem was the window glass was too small . I got new glass cut and it is 1/2" too wide I wanted 1/2" longer for my power window kit but we had a miscommun ication. I wish I knew what these windows were cut for would sell them cheap . Thanks again for the reply.

Measure the glass in both directions. The narrower dimension goes side to side and the longer part goes up and down.
