Angry Airbag Light Stays On Steady

My truck has been in an accident where the front airbags were deployed. It has since been fixed but the airbag light on the dash will not go out. It doesn't flash to show a code as I've read in other forums, it's just on steadily. I've had the module, and front crash sensor replaced along with the airbags ofcourse and it still will not go out. The body shop I took it to hooked it up to the computer and it is displaying a sensor problem, but what sensor error could it be getting? Any and all pieces of helpful information are welcomed and will be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you repair this yourself? Airbag lights can be a sign the senors are bad or not connected correctly or another electrical problem. I would say dealer time.

Actually no Berry, I took it to a reputable body shop who was able to fix everything but that one problem with the airbag light. I've also read in another forum that a bad battery can be the cause of that as well, and he mentioned to me that the battery need to be replaced so that's on my to do list this weekend to see if that will work.

I wouldn't keep throwing parts at it, but thats my take. I have never heard of a bad battery starting the truck but causing the airbag light to go on.

Check the SRS fuse in the SJB. The location should be listed in your owners book. I think it is a 10 amp, #32 position. If it is blown or missing the light will stay on. Ford recommends pulling the fuse to depower the system. The fuse may have been removed to replace the air bags and not reinstalled.

Slc, I checked the fuse but it was in place and still good so that's not it, but thanks for sharing that info. I also replaced the battery and still got the steady lit light. Not sure what next besides being clobbard by the dealer. I am still open for suggestions.

Found this link doing a Google search:
Airbag light On | Airbag Module Resets | Repair Your Airbag Light

Trying to diagnose and reset the airbag is dangerous. Please repost what you find and be careful.

Take the vehicle back to the repair shop.
They were paid to correct EVERYTHING.
Should you have another accident and the SRS not function properly someone could die.
A vehicle will not leave our shop until something like that is corrected.
We take the vehicle to the dealer and have them diagnose and correct it.
The liability to the repairer is immense.

When you start the vehicle the light will blink a code that will give the service people an idea of what to check for.
I had a repaired car that was blinking a 27 (2 blinks followed by 7 blinks repeated 3 times) then it set a steady light.
The 27 indicated a low resistance in the drivers airbag.
