I wonder how many members on here have used a nice running donner to build their trucks? I just bought a 78 F100 ( 6 months ago ) that was in great shape just for the drive train and anything else I could use. I was like you are after I had it I felt guilty about cannibalizing it. Seems like after I had remove everything which I wanted a young guy stop at my house looking at what was left of the 78. Turns out the guy works at a glass shop and I traded him what was left of the 78 for some free glass work on the 56 later. He told me he already had a motor and trans and was looking for a mid 70's Ford truck to put them in.

I was thinking on the same line... Get another truck to put the 4.6 in and then you can drive it while you rebuild the other one...
