Just got back from WVU. WOW, what a class. I found out just how lacking I was on an actual crime scene. We went through it once, then got out asses chewed and then sent back again. The second time, you were able to find things and see things that the regular person never dreamed of looking for. No wonder most criminals are caught. It was a very interesting class. I am exhausted.
Now to make the trip to the State Attorney General, take an oath and to the Secretary of State offices and fill out a bunch of paperwork.

Well I got some good news today. No more surgeries. But...I also found out nerves grow back at an average of one centimeter per month and i have about 24 centimeters to go...
Bummer.
It's funny, or sad depending on how you look at things, but it seems like some perfectly healthy people will go way out of their way to get out of work, and people willing to do almost anything to go back to work can't go back to work.

I'm taking my girl and her friend down to the river this afternoon so they can swim while I get in a little fishing. I don't even care if I catch anything, I just want to enjoy the scenery and take in some fresh air.

Good morning ya'll!
Caught one smallmouth last night and got several bites. It was the first time I'd been fishing since I got hurt and I knew I might have some problems. And I did...
I have always reeled with my right hand even though I was always told if your right handed to reel with your left. Just never could do it. Just didn't feel natural. Anyway..I have always set the hook with my left arm, which is my bad arm and with only two fingers and a weak thumb, just holding the rod was a challenge. What once was a reflex is gone. I was always an avid fisherman 12 months of the year and rain snow or cold didn't matter. Once I felt the familiar bump on the line, it was as natural as breathing to set the hook at just the right moment.
Well, I had to actually tell myself to set the hook, and even when I did it was like my arm was in slow motion. It didn't feel right at all. I felt like a little boy trying to figure out how to use this spinning reel for the first time all over again.
Now, to pat myself on the back for a second... 10 years ago, I would have tossed my rig in the drink and spewed out a few foul words. Yes, I had a temper lol.
Like I said, I did catch one so like I've been doing since last fall I just had to improvise and adjust. Besides...my brother and I never had a father type figure around to show us how to fish. We had to figure it out on our own. And we had a blast doing it. So I'm going to re-learn how to fish and I can't wait!
Well that's my fishing story about "the one that got away"
Time to get ready for the flea markets again. Have a great day my friends!
